Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 April, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Bobur Abdinazarov met with Regional Energy Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Veronika Krakovich.

The meeting was also attended by EBRD banker Malika Mirsaidova, director of the Basic Industry Development Department of the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Temirmalik Khalikov and other officials.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of developing gas supplies to Uzbekistan and increasing exports. In particular, issues of gas supply to the regions of the country, the mechanism of supply, as well as the electric power industry in the regions were discussed.

The parties also exchanged views on public-private partnership projects, privatization, studying world experience and received answers to questions of interest.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to expand cooperation on the above issues.
