Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 June, an Uzbek delegation of think tanks headed by the director of the International Institute of Central Asia (MICA) Anvar Nasirov met with the director of the Institute for the Study of Asian and European States Niyazi Yormakhmad.

The parties noted the positive dynamics of interaction between the countries in recent years, highly appreciating the role of the Leaders of the two countries.

Issues of expanding bilateral ties between scientific circles were discussed, as well as the creation of a joint platform for research and analytical centers of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan with the subsequent involvement of similar structures of the countries of Central Asia.

Interest was expressed in further expanding contacts through joint events, research and training.

For the purpose of the practical implementation of the plans, the parties signed an Agreement on Cooperation between MICA and the Institute, providing for joint research, publication of articles and monographs, organization of conferences, round tables, seminars.
