Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the First Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Forum, a meeting was held between the parliamentary friendship groups of the two countries.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of previously adopted documents on interparliamentary cooperation and identified priority areas for interaction in the near future. Special attention was given to the legislative activities of relevant committees, the exchange of experience in parliamentary oversight, and the development of dialogue with local representative bodies.

Participants also exchanged views on cooperation between the youth parliaments of the two countries, including the joint implementation of promising projects.

The productive work of the interparliamentary friendship groups was noted, and the importance of further strengthening their collaboration was emphasized. In this regard, an agreement was reached to intensify cooperation within the framework of the Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Commission.
