Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 29 October, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nigmatilla Yuldashev took part in the 19th meeting of the Prosecutors General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states, organized by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of India in the format of video conference.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Offices of the SCO member states, the SCO Secretary General and the Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure.

During the meeting, an exchange of views, experience and effective mechanisms to combat trafficking in persons took place. The existing threats in this area were discussed, measures were determined to unite the efforts of the Prosecutor General’s Offices of the SCO member states in their counteraction.

It was noted that joint efforts and initiatives of the Prosecutor General’s Offices in various spheres of interaction contribute to the growth of the SCO’s authority in the international arena.

The signed final Protocol reflects the corresponding decision on the main topic of this meeting, as well as on holding the 20th anniversary meeting of the Prosecutors General of the SCO member states in 2022 in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
