Meeting Held with Representatives of JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, and Global Evolution
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 June, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Kuchkarov, held a meeting with representatives of JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, and Global Evolution.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. is a financial holding company engaged in investment banking and financial services, operating globally under the J.P. Morgan brand.
Morgan Stanley is a leading international financial services firm offering a broad range of solutions in investment banking, securities, private equity, and investment management.
Global Evolution is a specialized investment firm and part of Generali Investments.
The foreign delegation included Nicolai Alexandru-Cideshuk, Executive Director at JP Morgan; Péter Széchenyi, Emerging Markets Analyst at Morgan Stanley Investment Management; and Christian Møller Mærsk Meszrop, Chief Investment Officer at Global Evolution.
The Uzbek delegation was represented by Deputy Ministers of Economy and Finance Ilkhomjon Umurzakov and Khurshed Mustafayev, Ministerial Advisor Jasur Karshibayev, and Chairman of UzAssets Bobur Abdinazarov.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on Uzbekistan’s socio-economic development, measures to enhance investment attractiveness, and efforts to foster a favorable business climate. Particular attention was given to infrastructure projects implemented through public-private partnership (PPP) mechanisms.
The foreign representatives commended Uzbekistan’s macroeconomic reform trajectory, noting significant progress in strengthening economic stability and improving the entrepreneurial environment.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides affirmed their mutual interest in long-term cooperation and expressed readiness to expand collaboration across various sectors of the economy.
