Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 June, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Norkulov held a meeting with a delegation from the international consulting firm McKinsey & Company.

The delegation included Senior Partner Yermolai Solzhenitsyn, Partner for Tourism and Hospitality Practice Margo Konstantin, and Managing Partner of McKinsey & Company in Azerbaijan Murat Gursoy.

McKinsey & Company is a global management consulting firm specializing in strategic management. The company provides advisory services to leading global corporations, government institutions, and non-profit organizations.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for developing the tourism sector in Uzbekistan. Topics included attracting foreign investment, improving infrastructure, enhancing the quality of tourist services, and promoting Uzbekistan in international tourism markets.

The McKinsey & Company representatives shared their international experience and successful case studies, and expressed their readiness to provide expert support in designing strategic initiatives for the development of tourism in Uzbekistan.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in expanding cooperation and implementing joint projects in the tourism sector.
