Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 May 2025, a meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan between Ismatulla Irgashev, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, and Witold Sobków, Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland for Afghanistan. Marek Całka, Deputy Director of the Eastern Department of Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also participated in the talks.

During the meeting, the parties thoroughly discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation on Afghan-related issues and expressed readiness to further develop Uzbek-Polish collaboration aimed at promoting peace, stability, and security in the region.

Both sides confirmed their mutual interest in maintaining a constructive and substantive dialogue on Afghan settlement matters and agreed to hold regular consultations at various levels.
