Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Primary health services will be organized in the regions of Uzbekistan based on the principle of "walking distance", it is planned to create 105 family medical centers and 31 family polyclinics. This is stated in the draft Development Strategy for 2022-2026.

Together with the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of regions and the city of Tashkent, practical measures will be taken to complete the relevant construction work in the regions by the end of 2022.

Within two months, a draft resolution will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers on the introduction of a mechanism for the provision of free medical services to persons included in the privileged category by sending them for treatment at the expense of the State budget to private medical organizations through an electronic information system.
