Mechanism of feedback in parliament activities discussed in Tashkent
MPs, experts and scholars, representative of civil society and others participated in the roundtable.
At the session, the participants considered improving mechanism of feedback mechanism at the parliament, studied international experience, including experience of parliament of South Korea, USA, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria and others on feedback mechanism and interaction with the public.
The participants discussed issues of further improving efficiency of communication of the Uzbek parliament with public, including use of modern information-communication technologies. It was underlined that it is necessary to publish draft laws at the official website of the parliament and collect proposals and recommendations on improving the documents.
The roundtable participants shared their proposals on improving mechanisms of communication with public, discussion of draft laws, assessment of law enforcement. It was noted that mass media should also play a key role in informing public on law-making and law-enforcement practices.
