Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 May, a working group led by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov left for Ferghana region in order to study the current state of socio-economic development and develop proposals for use of the existing investment, industrial and export potential of the region.
During the trip, members of the working group visited a number of production facilities, where they studied the technological process of production and held meetings with project initiators, during which they discussed the prospects for expanding activities in the region, attracting additional investment and organizing the export of manufactured products.
It was announced that the economic potential of the region in many areas remains untapped, and therefore it is necessary to intensify work to study the existing reserves and opportunities for the development of industry in priority sectors in the context of districts and mahallas, with the creation of value chains.
Particular attention was paid to measures to support women’s and youth entrepreneurship, meaning the creation of conditions for attracting investments and implementing high-tech projects focused on the production of high value-added products and the creation of new jobs.
During the meetings, the entrepreneurs raised the problems they faced in the process of organizing production activities. All the issues raised were thoroughly studied, algorithms for their solution were developed and appropriate instructions were given to responsible managers.
