Measures adopted on implementation of project on construction of Ustyurt gas chemical complex

The resolution was adopted to ensure timely realization of investment project “On construction of Ustyurt gas chemical complex at Surgil field with its building”.

Within implementation of the project, foreign contractors – GS Engineering & Construction Corp., Samsung Engineering Co., Ltd. and Нyundai Engineering Co., Ltd. (South Korea) submitted proposals on designing of the objects on technological zones of Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex with use of international standards in construction, technological equipment, industry and fire safety.

At construction of Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex, it is planned to deliver heavy and large equipment with special transport means.

The Government approved a working group on issues of coordination and adopting decision on use of international standards, coordination of transportation of heavy and large cargoes at Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex.

The resolution approved a plan of measures on training cadres at Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex for 2013-2016. It is planned to create commission on selection of engineer-technical workers and technical cadres of middle level to work at Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex.

The Government of Uzbekistan also provided preferences to participants of the projects, which engaged in construction of Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex.

The equipment, raw materials, meters and others goods, imported within the construction and launch of Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex, will be exempted from certification if there is no accredited lab in Uzbekistan.

Repayment of expanses of the banks, financial institutions, creditors and their agents in hard currency, envisaged with agreement on general terms of crediting and affiliated with project implementation, will be carried out by the joint venture Uz-Kor Gas Chemical without signing separate agreements.

The resolution said that department of entry, departure and visa registration of the citizens of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Karakalpakstan will be created in Nukus airport for timely registration of multiple visas and temporary registration of the foreign specialists, which will arrive to implement the project.

In 2013-2015, it is planned to construct the first part of habitation complex at Ustyurt gas chemical complex, which will consist of three dormitories for 144 places, 140 standard houses, service objects, and corresponding infrastructure.
