Tashkent, Uzbekistan (Uzdaily.uz) -- Preparation for vaccination against coronavirus in Uzbekistan is nearing completion. In this regard, the deputy head of Sanitary epidemiologic well-being and Public Health Nurmat Atabekov informed about the progress of these processes.

- Mass vaccination against coronavirus in Uzbekistan will begin on 1 April 2021, - said Nurmat Atabekov. - First of all, it is planned to vaccinate people over 65 and medical personnel.

Of course, this applies not to all medical personnel, but to medical personnel, which can be infected with the greatest probability when contacting patients with coronavirus disease, in particular:

- profile hospitals specializing in the treatment of coronavirus;

- ambulance structure;

- emergency care system;

- hospitals of infectious diseases;

- coronavirus diagnostic laboratories;

- It is assumed that primary, outpatient and polyclinic staff will be vaccinated.
