Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A bad weather caused road accidents involving 13 cars on the Karshi-Samarkand highway.
On 13 January, at approximately 1:10 p.m., on the 19th km of the A-378 highway in the direction of “Karshi-Samarkand” in Nurabad district of Samarkand region, a massive accident occurred with 13 cars. The traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan told about the details of the incident.
According to the department, the driver of KamAZ, due to heavy fog and snowfall, decided to stop the car on the side of the road. The driver of the Ford car following it could not brake in time due to the icy road surface, and the car collided with the back of the truck.
Then Ford faced Nexia and another 10 cars. As a result of the accident, the driver and passenger of the Ford car, as well as two passengers of the Nexia car, were injured in mild severity.
It was noted that after a few minutes, about 300 meters from the scene of the accident, another accident occurred. The Nexia driver lost control on a slippery road and collided with a Mercedes-Benz truck in front with a semi-trailer.
A Nexia driver was hospitalized with a fracture of the wrist, and one passenger was diagnosed with a closed chest injury, fracture of the costal bones. Two more passengers received minor injuries.
