Marubeni discusses infrastructure projects with Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 March, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Ilzat Kasymov met with Fujii Yasuaki, the newly appointed representative of the Japanese trading company Marubeni.
Founded in 1858, Marubeni Corporation operates across various sectors, including lifestyle, timber, IT solutions, food products, metals and mineral resources, energy, infrastructure projects, leasing and real estate, construction, industrial equipment, and next-generation corporate development.
In Uzbekistan, the company is implementing a project to construct a new water treatment and sewage facility in the Tashkent region to meet the capital's needs.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current progress of the project, measures to accelerate its implementation, and potential new joint initiatives in key sectors of the Uzbek economy.
The Japanese side expressed appreciation for the support provided and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the partnership.
