Marton Schöberl: OTS is an effective platform for deepening multifaceted partnerships

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is an effective platform for deepening multifaceted partnerships, Director of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Marton Sjöberl said speaking at the 8th Meeting of official centers for foreign policy studies of member countries and observers of the Organization of Turkic States, held in Tashkent.

— The meeting provided an opportunity to conduct a fruitful dialogue with specialized experts from the leading think tanks of the Turkic-speaking countries and develop further mechanisms for effective interaction. Despite the remote geographical location, the information we received here is of particular value to us.

In recent years, Uzbekistan has become a dialogue platform for strengthening multilateral cooperation. Tashkent's open approach to building bilateral relations, based on mutual respect, to which Hungary is also committed, is the basis for deepening comprehensive cooperation.

At the same time, Budapest considers the OTS as one of the effective platforms for deepening multifaceted partnerships.

The expert meeting, organized for the first time in Uzbekistan by the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, brought together over 60 prominent representatives of the leading think tanks of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Hungary, as well as the OTS Secretariat.

Heads of transport and logistics companies, representatives of associations of international freight forwarders, road carriers, logistics, as well as profile scientists and specialists from universities of Uzbekistan, including the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Tashkent State Transport University are also invited to participate in the forum.
