Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Marriott International, Inc. has announced plans to expand its presence in Uzbekistan with four new hotels scheduled to open by the end of 2028, the company’s press service reported. Marriott entered the Uzbek market in 2020 with the launch of the Courtyard by Marriott Tashkent.
Ivica Čačić, Senior Vice President of Development for Central and Eastern Europe and the DACH region, stated: “Uzbekistan is becoming one of the most promising destinations in Central Asia for both tourists and business travelers. We see tremendous potential in this market, and our expansion plans reflect the growing demand for high-quality hospitality services in the country. By expanding our portfolio in Uzbekistan, we aim not only to offer travelers world-class accommodation but also to support the region’s growth as an important hub for tourism and investment on the global map.”
Among the upcoming projects is the JW Marriott Hotel Tashkent, slated to open by the end of 2025.
The 287-room property will be Marriott’s first luxury hotel in Uzbekistan, offering JW Marriott’s signature approach focused on balance, genuine hospitality, and elegant, nature-inspired design.
In 2028, the company plans to unveil The Ritz-Carlton, Tashkent — a 140-room luxury hotel featuring The Ritz-Carlton Club, three concept restaurants, and refined suites designed to provide an exclusive guest experience.
Marriott also intends to grow its select-service segment in Uzbekistan. In 2026, it will open Fairfield by Marriott Tashkent, a 204-room modern hotel with the brand’s signature minimalist design. The following year, Aloft Tashkent will make its debut, featuring 197 rooms and dynamic social spaces reflecting the brand’s vibrant urban style.
The company’s expansion underscores its commitment to supporting the development of Uzbekistan’s tourism infrastructure and strengthening the country’s position as a growing center for international travel and business in Central Asia.
