Man with toy gun attempts to rob banking service center in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 April at 16:37, the Tashkent City Security Department received an alarm signal from the Banking Service Center in the Yunusabad district.

Upon arrival, rapid response officers found a man holding what appeared to be a pistol, demanding money from a center employee. When he noticed the approaching police, the suspect broke a window in an attempt to flee but was apprehended on the spot.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the detained individual, identified as M.M., is a resident of the Kibray district. It was later determined that the weapon he was holding was a toy gun.

A pre-investigation inquiry is currently underway regarding the incident.
