Man kills his wife and then commits suicide

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A tragic incident occurred in Peshku district of Bukhara region, where a man killed his wife and then took his own life, according to the General Prosecutor’s Office.

The event took place on 30 July at around 21:17. A 27-year-old man, M. E., murdered his wife and fled the scene.

Law enforcement immediately launched an investigation. The man’s body was later found in a field near the "Chibogoni" neighborhood. He had hanged himself from a tree.

A criminal case has been opened under part 1 of article 97 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (intentional murder).
