Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 April, a resident of Davlatabad district of the city of Namangan, born in 1981, applied to the internal affairs authorities with a statement indicating that an employment specialist promised to get a job at a children’s hospital, and in return demanded US$400 US from her. This was reported by the press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of Namangan region.

On the basis of this statement, on the same day, with the joint efforts of law enforcement bodies, an operational event was carried out, during which a suspect was detained near the canteen in Namangan while receiving US$400 from the applicant.

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Art. 168, part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
