Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 September, a citizen of Azerbaijan M.Z., born in 1962, living in Tashkent, was detained for the bribe in Tashkent International Airport.
He disturbed the passengers at Tashkent airport despite warning by the law enforcement bodies.
It has been established that he regularly sends a total of 12 blocks of "HEETS" electronic tobacco products to the Republic of Azerbaijan in plastic bags of 4 blocks, by this action he violated the internal aviation security procedures and caused objections from airport workers involved in registration work. 12 units of e-tobacco products have been seized and documented.
During the investigation of this case, M.Z. offered the law enforcement officer a bribe of US$200 to create conditions for sending electronic tobacco products on every Tashkent-Baku flight in the future, to freely enter the airport, not to take action on it according to the documents collected on 6 September, and to return 12 blocks of seized tobacco products. He said that he would later give US$200 each month.
On 7 September, during an operational event carried out by the law enforcement bodes, M.Z. was detained while handing US$200 as a bribe.
In fact, in relation to M.Z. a criminal case was initiated under part 1 of article 211 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.
