Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to encourage citizens actively involved in the activities of citizens’ self-government bodies" has been published on the portal for discussing draft regulatory documents. This was reported by the press service of the capital’s khokimiyat.
The document determines the payment to house committees and street elders who are actively involved in the activities of citizens’ self-government bodies, a monthly compensation payment equal to 50 percent of the base calculated amount for mandatory utility payments, as an incentive from 1 January 2020.
At the same time, it is stipulated that the payment to house committees and elders on the streets, who actively participate in the activities of citizens’ self-government bodies, of a monthly compensation payment for mandatory utility bills will be carried out at the expense of additional sources of local budgets. The draft also provides for a separate approval of these norms.
