Lukoil not to cut investments into Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russian oil and gas company Lukoil is not planning to cut its investments into projects in Uzbekistan amid fall of prices to hydrocarbons, the Vice-President of the company Anatoly Moskalenko said in Tashkent on 25 September.

He said that plans of Lukoil in Uzbekistan remain unchanged. All plans till 2020 will be implemented if there are no serious market corrections.

Anatoly Moskalenko recalled that the company was planning to invest about US$1.5 billion into projects in Uzbekistan by 2020. He added that the figure can grow if the market allows.

According to Lukoil, so far it invested over US$3.5 billion into projects in Uzbekistan, which makes it largest investor into the country.
