Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- For 2020-2021, a program was approved to localize the production of products that are in demand on domestic and foreign markets. It is contained in the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers from 10 March 2020.

In accordance with the Program, it is planned to launch local production of import-substituting products in the amount of US$3.1 billion and exported products by US$351.6 million in the regions. More than 2,300 projects will be implemented for this. The list of enterprises participating in the Program, types of localized products and forecast volumes of production in 2020 and 2021 are indicated in the tables attached to the document in the context of certain sectors of the economy and territories.

Initiators of projects included in the Program will have priority in obtaining land, non-functioning free buildings and structures, construction in progress of small industrial zones, as well as territories with engineering infrastructure. And information on products manufactured under the Program (price, technical and quantitative indicators) is posted on the electronic cooperation portal in the first place

The List of new types of finished products, components, raw materials and materials recommended for development by local manufacturers in 2020-2021 was also approved. It has 850 items. When purchasing products on this list, customers are entitled to conclude special contracts through competitive procedures. They provide for the provision to the investor of a guarantee of the purchase of products through the public procurement system within 2 years from the start of delivery. A prerequisite for this is compliance with quality requirements, agreed technical and price parameters. The organization and holding of the contest are entrusted to the first deputy heads of business associations on issues of localization, expansion of cooperation ties in industry and information technology.

For organizations included in the Program, discounts of 50% will apply when they place ads on localized products (services). Such a benefit will be provided by the National Television and Radio Company on the basis of the conclusion of the Ministry of Economy and Industry.

The schedule for holding regional industrial fairs and cooperation exchanges in 2020 has been approved. 1,346 enterprises from various regions and Tashkent will present their products.
