Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution “On additional measures to increase the efficiency of the use of household lands and financial support for entrepreneurial initiatives of the population” was adopted. 

According to the Resolution, borrowed funds in the amount of 100 million US dollars at a rate of 2 percent per annum for a period of 9 years with a 4-year grace period will be gradually transferred to the Fund for Supporting Farmers, Dekhkan Farms and Owners of Home Plots.

Owners of household plots on this basis are allocated loans for:

● 100 heads of birds, 5-10 heads of turkeys, 20 heads of rabbits, 5-6 heads of sheep and goats, 5 bee hives, fish using the intensive method, as well as the construction of compact greenhouses and "field stores", drilling of artesian wells;

● small intensive gardening, lemon growing and viticulture cultivation of melons, legumes, oilseeds, potatoes and vegetable growing.

Before 1 January 2026:

In order to guarantee the purchase of products produced on household plots, the fund allocates subsidies to business entities that have organized work with owners of household plots on the basis of cooperation, in the amount of 30 percent of the cost of equipping warehouses, as well as the purchase of drying, filling and packaging equipment in an amount not exceeding 150 million soums;

There is a procedure for reimbursing the Fund for part of the costs of drilling vertical irrigation wells for irrigating household lands with difficult water supply and areas taken out of circulation, as well as the purchase and installation of means for extracting water from rivers, canals and other water bodies.

According to the resolution, in 2022, 2,150 vertical irrigation wells will be launched in 113 districts to irrigate household plots of the population in hard-to-reach areas.

Until 1 April 2022, a special platform for individuals will be launched to organize the sale of agricultural products using the “marketplace” method, produced on the household plots of the population, as well as to provide online consultations on the production of agricultural products.

Connecting to the platform and using the services will be free.
