Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the thirty-sixth plenary session of the Senate, the Law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was considered.
During the consideration of this legal act, the senators noted that road traffic accidents that occur on the roads are of concern in our society, and stressed the need to further increase the responsibility of the relevant responsible employees to establish the causes of their occurrence and prevent them.
At the same time, studies have shown that the existing shortcomings in the system of training, retraining and advanced training of motor vehicle drivers are the cause of road accidents that result in various violations and deaths on the roads.
In accordance with the Law, from the State Inspectorate for Supervision of the Quality of Education under the Cabinet of Ministers to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the status of an authorized person for licensing activities for the training and retraining of drivers of motor vehicles and urban electric vehicles, as well as activities to improve the skills of drivers of motor vehicles and urban electric vehicles, is transferred to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In addition, the Law establishes a state fee payable for licensing activities in the field of training and retraining of drivers of motor vehicles and urban electric vehicles in the amount of 10 times the base evaluation value.
Appropriate amendments and additions are also being made to the laws “On the State Duty” and “On Licensing, Permitting and Notification Procedures”.
