Li Auto Opens Its First Overseas Authorized Sales Center in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Chinese automaker Li Auto has officially entered the Central Asian market by opening its first overseas authorized retail center in Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent, the company announced on 14 October via its WeChat account.
The new center will offer three extended-range electric SUV models — Li L9, Li L7, and Li L6, all adapted to meet local market needs.
Unlike its direct sales approach in China, Li Auto operates through an authorized dealer model abroad, partnering with local distributors to expand its regional footprint.
Next month, the company plans to open two additional retail centers in Kazakhstan — one in Almaty and another in Astana — strengthening its brand presence across Central Asia.
Customers purchasing vehicles through Li Auto’s authorized network will receive the same full range of after-sales services as in China, including warranty coverage, professional inspections and repairs, genuine spare parts, technical support, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates.
According to Wu Zuomin, Head of Li Auto’s International Division, expansion into Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan represents a strategic milestone for the company’s global growth. He emphasized that Central Asia holds “tremendous potential” and that Li Auto aims to build long-term relationships with international customers while offering a premium ownership experience.
The company views its entry into Central Asia as a key stage in its globalization strategy, marking a shift toward structured development of its international operations, including R&D, product adaptation, sales, and service networks.
Li Auto has already established R&D centers in Germany and the United States to accelerate localized development of technologies and products. All new models scheduled for release from 2026 onward will comply with international standards.
In parallel, the company is expanding its global sales and service infrastructure, building support systems to ensure seamless customer experiences.
Looking ahead, Li Auto plans to make globalization one of its core strategic priorities, focusing on markets in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Europe, pursuing this vision with patience and determination while strengthening its global presence.
