Legalization of bookmakers canceled in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Plans to legalize bookmakers have been canceled in Uzbekistan.

On 6 April, the President of Uzbekistan signed a corresponding decree.

According to the decree of Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On measures to raise football in Uzbekistan to a new level of development”, it was planned that the activity of bookmakers and sweepstakes would be allowed in Uzbekistan from 1 January 2021.

In accordance with the new decree, this norm is recognized as invalid.
