Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures to further improve the provision of legal services to state bodies and organizations.”
The document notes that from 1 October 2021, centers for the provision of legal services will be created in all districts (cities) at the territorial departments of justice.
Accordingly, in the district (city) divisions of individual state organizations financed from the state budget, from 1 October 2021, a total of 1,182 staff units of legal services will be reduced.
Due to the released staff units, 1,056 staff units will be allocated to organize the activities of the centers.
From 1 October 2021, the electronic system "E-huquqshunos" will be gradually introduced, which allows government organizations to collect, process, analyze and electronically carry out all information and processes related to the provision of legal services.
Legal services provided by the centers to state organizations will be carried out through this electronic system.
The centers are organized and subordinated to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city departments of justice in the form of a structural unit that does not have the status of a legal entity.
Center staff have the right to participate in legal proceedings as representatives of legal service providers.
According to the resolution, organizations in respect of which the provision of legal services by the centers is established are not allowed to accept documents of a legal nature without the consent of the centers.
Also, the centers can provide legal services to other legal entities on a paid basis.
