Leaders of Uzbekistan and Bahrain Discuss Middle East Situation in Telephone Conversation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 4 March, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a telephone conversation with the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to discuss pressing issues of regional security.
The discussion focused on recent developments in the Middle East. The leaders examined the situation in detail, noting its negative impact on regional stability and overall security.
During the conversation, it was emphasized that any actions posing a serious threat to peace and the well-being of citizens, and causing suffering to the civilian population, must be immediately halted. Both heads of state agreed that resolving existing challenges is possible solely through diplomatic means and negotiation mechanisms.
Particular attention was given to the spiritual dimension of intergovernmental and universal human relations. It was noted that during the holy month of Ramadan, the Muslim community is called upon to demonstrate unity and mutual support, guided by the fundamental principles of solidarity, brotherhood, mutual respect, and generosity.
President Mirziyoyev conveyed sincere support and solidarity to the leadership and people of Bahrain. In response, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa expressed his deep gratitude to the Uzbek leader for the telephone call, as well as for the attention and support provided during these challenging times.
