Leaders of Central Asian countries to take part in the opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympics

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, on 4 February, leaders of foreign states and governments, as well as leading international organizations, will take part in the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, Dunyo news agency reported.

According to the Xinhua news agency, the President of China will attend the opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing from 4 to 6 February, and will also hold a welcome banquet for foreign leaders, heads of government, members of royal families and heads of international organizations.

Among the guests are the heads of Russia, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Poland, Argentina, the King of Cambodia, the Emir of Qatar, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and the leaders of several other states, President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach, Secretary General of the United Nations António Guterres, Director General of the World Health Organization Tedros Ghebreyesus.

The Olympic Games in Beijing will be held from 4 to 20 February, the Paralympics – on 4-13 March.
