LDK Consultants Discusses Cooperation with Local Partners and Investors in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — LDK Consultants conducted a business mission to Tashkent aimed at strengthening its presence in Uzbekistan and expanding engineering consultancy services in Central Asia, the company’s press service reported.

The delegation was led by the company’s CEO Stavros Damianidis. The mission also included Director of the Energy Department Dr. Marios Stanitsas and Business Development Advisor Polydoros Zekkos.

The main objective of the visit was to hold meetings with key stakeholders in Uzbekistan’s rapidly developing energy and infrastructure sectors, including local engineering and consulting companies, international developers, investors, and partners. During the discussions, participants explored prospects and opportunities for expanding engineering services in the country, as well as LDK’s ambitious plan to become a leading consulting company in the region.

Priority topics included renewable energy projects such as solar and wind power plants and battery energy storage systems (BESS), as well as the needs of asset owners and independent engineering supervision. The talks also addressed energy efficiency in construction and industry, prospects for district heating and the implementation of ESCO models, water resource management including irrigation systems and wastewater treatment, and solid municipal waste management.

Additional discussions focused on emerging opportunities in carbon markets, including “green” certificates and the I-REC system, as well as accelerating the development of data centers supported by the necessary energy and network infrastructure.

A key outcome of the mission was the advancement of LDK’s strategy to establish a permanent presence in Uzbekistan through cooperation with a strong local engineering partner. This approach would allow the company to provide high-quality engineering and consulting services to both investors and government institutions while supporting project development across the Central Asian region.
