Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation headed by the Commissioner General of the Korean National Police Agency (KNAP) Kim Chang Yong, currently on an official visit to our country, held bilateral talks with the Minister of Internal Affairs Pulat Bobojonov and the commander of the National Guard of Uzbekistan Rustam Juraev, Dunyo news agency reported.
During the meetings, further concrete steps were identified to enhance interaction between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries in the field of public security, countering terrorism, extremism, cybercrime, human trafficking and drug trafficking, exchange of experience, recruitment and retraining of personnel, as well as improving their qualifications through organizing regular consultations.
Following the talks, a ceremony of signing bilateral and multilateral documents was held between the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard of Uzbekistan and the KNAP. In particular, an agreement was signed "On cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Police Agency of the Republic of Korea", "Memorandum of Understanding between the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Police Agency of the Republic of Korea", "Memorandum of Understanding between the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Korea National Police University”,“Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Public Security of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Korea National Police University”.
In addition, an Action Plan ("Road Map") was signed for practical cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard of Uzbekistan and the National Police Agency of the Republic of Korea for 2021-2022.
