Large number of saiga horns seized in Ferghana
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Officers of Department of the State Customs Committee of Fergana region prevented an attempt to smuggle a large consignment of saiga horns.
Customs officers in cooperation with the National Security Service of Uzbekistan discovered 468 pieces of saiga horns, 72 horn parts and 170 saiga skins in one of the warehouses in Ferghana. Their estimated value is about 148 million soums.
A resident of Sokh district was the owner of the horns and skins and he planned to smuggle them to foreign states.
Currently, the customs investigation is underway.
