Kyrgyzstan becomes Uzbekistan’s largest importer of carrots in Q1 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the Statistics Committee, the country exported 17,100 tonnes of carrots worth a total of US$3 million between January and March 2025.
Central Asian countries and Russia remained the primary export destinations, with the largest volume going to the Kyrgyz Republic, which received 9,184 tonnes.
Carrot exports from Uzbekistan during the reporting period were distributed as follows:
Kyrgyz Republic – 9,184 tonnes
Republic of Kazakhstan – 4,700 tonnes
Russian Federation – 3,041 tonnes
Republic of Tajikistan – 60 tonnes
Other countries – 99 tonnes
The export of vegetable products, particularly carrots, continues to play a significant role in the development of Uzbekistan’s agro-industrial sector and foreign trade.
