Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the meeting, the MPS of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan considered the issue of establishing Kukdala district as part of Kashkadarya region.

The territory of the Chirakchi region is 2.8 thousand square kilometers. There are about half a million inhabitants, there are 2,137 enterprises, of which 324 are industrial, there are 230 preschool educational organizations, 234 schools and eight family clinics.

During the meeting of the head of state with the voters of Kashkadarya region in 2021, a proposal was made to create Kukdala district. Based on this, 171 thousand hectares of land are transferred from Chirakchi to Kukdala district, 176.3 thousand people will live on the territory of the newly formed district. 

According to the changes, 162 industrial enterprises, one small industrial zone will also be transferred to the new district, gardens and vineyards are planned to be created on ten thousand hectares of arable land based on drip irrigation technology.
