Krispy Kreme Enters the Uzbek Market

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Krispy Kreme, the iconic American doughnut brand famous for its fresh treats and signature Hot Light sign, will officially open its first store in Uzbekistan in October 2025.

The debut will take place in Tashkent, where Krispy Kreme will launch operations in partnership with Food Town Logistics-Group, LLC.

Under the franchise agreement, the Uzbek partner plans rapid expansion — with over 70 stores set to open nationwide within the next five years.

Josh Charlesworth, CEO of Krispy Kreme, said that the launch in Uzbekistan is part of the company’s global strategy to strengthen its international presence:

“We’re excited to share the joy of Krispy Kreme with new fans around the world. From Spain to Brazil and now Uzbekistan — what unites us everywhere is the delight people feel when they taste our fresh, warm doughnuts for the first time.”

The move into Uzbekistan marks an important step in Krispy Kreme’s new wave of global expansion. Earlier in 2025, the company opened its first store in Madrid, Spain, and is preparing to enter Brazil later this year.

Founded in 1937 in Winston-Salem, USA, Krispy Kreme has grown from a small local bakery into a global brand with a presence in more than 40 countries worldwide.
