Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Over the past 30 years, a new generation of independent youth has grown up in Uzbekistan. Kim Sang-chol, a researcher at the Institute of Central Asian Studies at the Hanguk University of Foreign Languages, said this at the expert forum "Uzbekistan-Korea: a look into the future" on 23 August in Tashkent.
According to him, Uzbekistan has recently been carrying out consistent reforms aimed at sustainable development and socio-economic stability in the country.
Kim Sang-chul stressed that over 30 years a new generation of independent youth has grown up in Uzbekistan, serving as a fundamental force in the country’s social development.
In this context, the Korean expert proposed to hold in the foreseeable future the Forum of Young Generation Leaders in the format "Korea + Central Asia", which will allow building closer ties between the future leaders of the countries of the region and the Republic of Korea.
On 23 August, Tashkent is hosting an expert forum "Uzbekistan - Korea: a look into the future", organized by the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in partnership with the Secretariat of the Cooperation Forum "Republic of Korea - Central Asia".
More than 25 leading experts and heads of think tanks, representatives of the research and educational institutions of the two countries are taking part in the Uzbek-South Korean event.
