Korean Business Council Meeting Held in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Ilzat Kasimov took part in a regular meeting of the Korean Business Council, organized jointly with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan.

The event brought together representatives of профильных ministries and government agencies, members of the diplomatic corps, South Korean companies and business circles, as well as regional offices of international financial institutions, including the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank.

During the meeting, participants discussed the current progress in implementing investment projects involving South Korean businesses in Uzbekistan. Particular attention was given to practical issues arising at various stages of project implementation.

Among the topics considered were infrastructure support for investment initiatives and the improvement of customs procedures for importing specialized equipment required for project implementation.

Representatives of the Uzbek side also emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts to shape the investment agenda for upcoming events planned to be held in the Republic of Korea later this year.

Participants noted that continued dialogue with the Korean business community will help expand investment cooperation and facilitate the implementation of joint projects.
