KOICA Uzbekistan office held 2022 KOICA Fellowship Program Alumni Meeting

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 November 2022, the KOICA Uzbekistan office hosted the "2022 KOICA Fellowship Program (CIAT) Alumni Meeting". 

The meeting was attended by H.E.Kim Hee Sang, the ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Park Sunjin, the Country Director of the KOICA office in Uzbekistan, Uzokboy Begimkulov, the Deputy Minister of Preschool education of Uzbekistan, Ruhillo Zikrulloev, Deputy director of the Department of Cooperation with the Republic of Korea, of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, as well as representatives of partner organizations and KOICA Fellowship Program, graduates.

In his speech, Ambassador Mr. Kim Hee-sang expressed confidence that all the participants who have completed the KOICA training programs will contribute to the development of Uzbekistan and play an important role in the development of mutual cooperation between the two countries. The partner organizations expressed their gratitude to the Korean Embassy and the KOICA office in Uzbekistan for constant friendly relations and strong partnerships.

KOICA seeks to support the sustainable socio-economic development of its partner countries by sharing Korea’s development experience and knowledge with the partner countries’ public officials, researchers, and students. This meeting was organized with the aim of sharing the results and future directions of the KOICA Fellowship Program and further promoting friendship among the graduates of the Fellowship Program. To date, 2240 trainees have participated in KOICA’s short-term capacity-building program, and around 159 people from Uzbekistan won KOICA Scholarship and had the opportunity to study in prestigious Korean Universities.
