Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The KOICA Uzbekistan office held joint seminar for three projects implemented in Uzbekistan in the fields of start-up, digitalization and creation of decent jobs for young generation in total of US$15 million.
Project partners are:
Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan - Project for Creating Startup Supportive Ecosystem and Stimulating Entrepreneurial Growth in Uzbekistan (2020-2024/ US$5.5mil)
Technology park of software and IT (IT Park) - Building foundation and strengthening capabilities for sustainable growth of IT Park in Uzbekistan (2021-2025/ US$4.5mil)
Tashkent University of Information Technologies - Establishment of Innovative Business IT Education System at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies for Better Higher Education in Uzbekistan (2022-2027/ US$5mil)
The seminar was attended by representatives of the KOICA Uzbekistan office, Korean project management partners, Uzbekistan project partner organizations and related government bodies including the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, the Ministry for Innovative Development and others.
Throughout the seminar overview of three projects has been shared and special lecture on ‘Role of Korea TechnoPark and Localization of Korea Technopark Model’ has been presented within the program.
KOICA Digital & Start-up Program will contribute for the achievement of Uzbekistan Digitalization Strategy 2030 and creating start-up ecosystem along with decent jobs for young generation. As three projects are interconnected in the form of partnership among private-public-academic, the first joint seminar served linking projects and providing a platform for cooperation to build mutual cooperation in the field of ICT & start-ups. by sharing knowledge and experiences.
KOICA Uzbekistan office plans to host Joint Seminar continuously to share the progress of three projects and share knowledge and experiences of Korean and other country cases in related area. Moreover, KOICA will actively engagement and cooperate with partners in ICT and Start-up field.
