Kia Unveils Updated Sportage and Carens Models in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 January 2026, the updated Kia Sportage and Kia Carens were officially presented in Tashkent. The event was organized by the ADM group, the official distributor of the Kia brand in Uzbekistan.

The presentation highlighted key updates in design, features, and technical specifications, as well as announced the official prices for the new models. The event featured interactive zones, a Bullet Time photo area, and live music, creating a dynamic showcase for attendees.

Kia CEO Georgiy Shonia emphasized the significance of the refreshed models and their appeal to customers: “The Kia Carens and Kia Sportage are vehicles that have already earned the trust and affection of thousands of families. With their new design, they have become even more expressive, technologically advanced, and thoughtfully crafted, while retaining comfort, reliability, and confidence with every kilometer.”

The updated Kia Sportage reflects the “Opposites United” design philosophy. It features signature “Star Map” lighting, a new 3D-patterned grille, vertical LED headlights, and dynamic welcome illumination. The interior includes a panoramic curved display combining a digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch multimedia screen. New features include automatically tilting side mirrors when reversing, a head-up display (HUD), and an air-conditioner evaporator cleaning system. For the Uzbekistan market, the Sportage is offered with 2.0 MPI and 2.5 GDI petrol engines paired with automatic transmissions. Prices start at 454,900,000 soums.

The updated Kia Carens is designed for customers seeking functionality, space, and comfort. Its exterior features vertical “Star Map” LED lighting, a full-width light bar, and redesigned bumpers. Inside, a 12.3-inch panoramic display, 64-color ambient lighting, and a multimedia system with an Uzbek-language interface enhance the driving experience. Engine options include a 1.5 MPI with IVT continuously variable transmission and a 1.5 Turbo-GDI producing 160 hp with a 7-speed DCT. Standard safety features include six airbags and an advanced ADAS driver-assistance suite. Prices for the Carens start at 339,900,000 soums.

During the presentation, the first customers received the keys to their updated vehicles. Guests had the opportunity to explore the models in detail, assess their equipment levels, and receive consultations from experts.
