Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By the decision of the khokim of Tashkent Jakhongir Artykhodjaev from 8 July, the capital administration will compensate material and moral damage to individuals and legal entities affected by illegal actions (inaction) of state bodies or officials.
According to the document posted on the E-qaror platform, 5.72 billion soums are allocated for these purposes from the overfulfilled revenues of Tashkent's budget in the second quarter.
It is noted that decisions on the payment of compensation will be made on the basis of court orders received by the Financial Department of the capital.
At the end of last year, the khokim of Tashkent, Jakhongir Artykhodjaev, promised that all debts for the demolished property would be paid by the end of 2021. “This year, about 700-800 billion soums went to [compensation for demolitions] in the form of cash payments, land allocation. According to our calculations, until the end of 2021, no one will be left without payments for demolition since 2005,” the mayor said at the time.
