Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Tashkent, starting from the new academic year, the best students and teachers of general schools will receive scholarships from the khokim of the capital. This was stated by the mayor of the capital Jakhongir Artykhodjaev.

He noted that the hokim scholarship will be introduced in five subjects - mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and foreign language.

Jakhongir Artykhodjaev emphasized that since September, students who have achieved the greatest success in these areas of knowledge will be paid 500 thousand soums a month. Moreover, their teachers will receive 1 million soums. Financial incentives are planned in each school.
