Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting with officials of the SUEZ was held at the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent. The meeting was attended by the khokim of Tashkent city Jakhongir Artikkhodjaev, deputy khokims of the city of Tashkent, authorized representatives of Toshkent Shahar Suv Taminoti LLC, Vice President of SUEZ Eric Gebali, General Director for Central Asia and the Caucasus Fabrice Bushtey, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to our country Brice Rockfeuil and other competent persons.
The topic of discussion at the meeting was the implementation of the "Plan for the transformation of water supply in Tashkent", designed to be implemented within 7 years together with the French company SUEZ.
According to the French side, they studied the drinking water supply system of the capital, considered organizational issues for modernizing the industry and attracting new technologies to its activities. Now, based on the analysis of general data, targeted measures will be determined and the practical process of project implementation will begin.
The implementation of the project will ensure the operation of the water supply and sewerage networks of the city of Tashkent in accordance with international standards, the introduction of modern management and the prevention of drinking water losses. The project also provides for staff training.
During the conversation, recommendations were given for more effective work of SUEZ specialists with officials of the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent and officials of the relevant systems.
