Khiva and Shakhrisabz become cities of regional subordination

According to the lower house of the parliament of Uzbekistan, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his trips to Khorezm and Kashkadarya regions, taking into account the high potential of these regions for tourism development, instructed to transform the cities of Khiva and Shakhrisabz into an independent administrative unit and include them into the list of cities of regional subordination.

The decision will significantly increase the tourism potential of the most ancient cities of the world importance located on the territory of Uzbekistan.
