Khayrullo Bozorov Meets with SCO Deputy Secretary-General Sohail Khan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Khayrullo Bozorov, Hokim of Fergana Region, held a meeting with Sohail Khan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

During the discussion, both sides noted that the Peace Forum, held in Fergana at the crossroads of the Great Silk Road, is becoming an important platform for strengthening friendship and cooperation with neighboring countries.

Sohail Khan spoke about the SCO’s activities in expanding regional interaction, promoting sustainable development, and fostering cultural ties, and he proposed specific areas of cooperation with Fergana Region.

The dialogue also covered projects in tourism, culture, education, and the economy, as well as opportunities to organize cooperation forums and cultural exchange programs.

Hokim Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized that the SCO, as a respected international organization, plays a key role in ensuring peace, security, and sustainable development in the region, and expressed full support for holding SCO events in Fergana Region.
