Khamza district renamed to Yashnobod district
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan adopted a decision to rename Khamza district into Yashnobod district of Tashkent city, the press service of upper house of the parliament said.
The issue was prepared and introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan in line with requirements of the law “On naming geographic objects”.
The parliament said that the issue was discussed among population in Tashkent city, mahallas, public organizations, etc.
After discussion, Senators adopted the decision on renaming of Khamza district to Yashnobod district of Tashkent city.
Khamza district was founded in 1968. Its total area is 3,370 hectares.
