Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A regular meeting of the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held. Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, a resolution was adopted to convene the thirty-fifth plenary session of the Senate on 18 November 2022.

It was noted that a number of issues are planned to be discussed at the next plenary session.

Among them are the results of the autumn session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States, held on 27-28 October 2022 in Samarkand, the laws “On amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On state duty”, “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan ”, “On introducing additions and amendments to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On guarantees of equal rights and opportunities for women and men”, “On introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with further improvement of the corporate governance system”, “On introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at reliable protection of the rights and legitimate interests of convicts”.

At the next plenary session, it is also planned to consider the laws “On the ratification of the Izmir Treaty (Izmir, on 4 September 1996)” and “On the ratification of the military framework agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey (Tashkent, on 29 March 2022)”.

In addition, the plenary session will consider the reports of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the execution of the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the first nine months of 2022 and on the implementation of the State Program for the Implementation of the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan in 2022–2026 in the “Year ensuring the interests of the person and the development of the mahalla”.

The senators will also discuss the results of studying the work carried out to create new jobs and ensure employment in Tashkent region and the city of Tashkent.

The plenary session will also consider the results of a parliamentary request sent to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cleaning up riverbeds and strengthening their banks, the negative impact of mining of non-metallic minerals on environmental, water and road facilities.

As part of the plenary session, it is planned to consider the issues of electing the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as approving resolutions of the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
