Kazakhstan Signs US$70 Million in Export Contracts with Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have signed new export contracts totaling over US$70 million during a trade and economic mission held in Tashkent.

The agreements were signed in the presence of officials from both countries’ ministries and business communities.

The event brought together dozens of companies operating in agriculture, industry, logistics, and services.

Kazakhstan’s Deputy Minister of Trade, Aidar Abildabekov, emphasized that such missions allow companies not only to showcase their products but also to directly enter the neighboring country’s market. “The mission in Tashkent provides an opportunity for companies not merely to present their products, but to immediately access the market of the neighboring country, negotiate supply terms, and start exports,” he stated.

According to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade, the new agreements will further stimulate the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation and support the implementation of joint projects.

Since the beginning of 2025, mutual trade between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan has grown by 18.5%, reaching US$3 billion.
