Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Maintain Strategic Ties with Russia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are continuing to implement large-scale strategic projects with Russia despite pressure from Western countries, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said.
“It is well known that Western states use pressure, coercion and sanctions in an attempt to drive a wedge between Russia and its partners, including Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. But how do our partners respond?
They are implementing major long-term strategic cooperation projects with Russia that deliver real economic benefits and strengthen security,” Galuzin said in an interview with Vesti.
He added that the countries involved remain firmly committed to their agreements and obligations within the frameworks of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Eurasian Economic Union.
